‘A Cat’s Eye View’ by Catherine Swindells – Lotions and potions……. (Book)

Introduction

This is a fascinating story of how Matlock Bath has become what is today a highly popular tourist destination. Its a story with a difference though because its told through the eyes of a very inquisitive cat called Beth who was living in the Old Apothecary Shop shortly after it first opened for business on North Parade, Matlock Bath 1894 and 1906

After that Beth hands over to another Cat whose name is Spotters, and he will be keeping everyone up to date on what is going on in our village.

So here is the Cat’s eye view on how the apothecary shop was first established and how Matlock Bath developed from being a sleepy suburb of Matlock to becoming a thriving village in its own right.

Plus a bit more……..
